Seer Green Area Guide

Seer Green & Jordans are two villages linked by about half a mile of rural pasture. They both lie in the Chiltern District Council area and are about two miles from Chalfont St. Giles, Chalfont St. Peter and Beaconsfield. The A40 is one mile away, the M40 two and the M25 four. Although they have distinctive characters, people tend to link the villages together and they share many facilities including a station, Seer Green & Jordans (Chiltern Railways) which is a short walk from both village centres. Understandably, this makes these sister villages very popular with commuters who can be in Marylebone in as little as 23 minutes. The line also serves Aylesbury, Wycombe, Bicester, Stratford-upon-Avon and Birmingham.

Surrounded by Chiltern beechwoods and pasture, both villages make idyllic country retreats, perfect for walking and riding. But they are not too remote and there are good facilities. Seer Green has a small number of useful shops including a grocer, a newsagent/post office, butcher, hairdresser, two pubs and even a dog-grooming salon. As well as the Seer Green CE Combined School, the village is also home to the Chiltern Montessori School. There are many other state and independent schools within a few miles. There are scout and guide troupes in the village. Other facilities include Anglican and Baptist churches while the Jubilee Hall is a popular venue for a wide range of clubs and societies.
